BrilliantColor™ for DLP technology uses a new color-processing algorithm to move beyond standard 3-color processing to a 6-color process that more accurately captures the true color common in video and nature scenes. After looking at 50" plasma TVs, we decided to buy the Mitsubishi HD4000. We expected to need a screen, or to have to paint a wall white, but the image is so bright we don't need to. Now we have an entire wall providing us a 96" television. The image has vivid colors and makes our HD capability much more noticeable than it was on our 32" flat screen. Great for watching movies and sports. A bit difficult for gaming, as the TV is behind you.

I bought this projector in Jan 2007 and the lamp is still going strong. I use it in my basement theater room and the kids play the Xbox 360 in HD almost daily. We have a HD-DVD player and a Blu-Ray player attached and the image is outstanding.
The projector is 14' from the 114" screen and it nearly fills it. Average screen size in HD is 108" with no distortion. I watch almost all sporting events on this screen and even hockey (lots of white in the background from the ice and boards) and the image never looks washed out. It is also very quiet, almost undetectable during sports and video-gaming.
I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a low-cost, long-lamp-life, projector.
