With the vivid realism of Epson 3LCD technology, these projectors will make your home the hottest ticket in town.
Amazing Color Brightness for Brilliant Image Quality
With today's high-definition content, you want your movies to appear with show-stopping quality in both darkened home theaters and brighter environments. One brightness measurement (lumens) is not enough. Look for both high color brightness and high white brightness to have a truly impressive image.
High color brightness also enables an even better image for larger screen sizes and for a larger variety of screen materials. Without sufficient color brightness, images may be muddy, soft and lose detail, even in a dark room. If not provided, be sure to ask for a projector's color brightness specification.
Get consistent, true-to-life color with Epson projectors, whether you're watching movies, playing video games, or watching a family slideshow.

By Toyz
I have a large master bedroom, needed a big TV to watch the late night football games and the occasional movie. Had to get a big size TV (atleast 80") for a room of this size. Did a lot of research and was pushing off the TV purchase because of the exorbitant cost of such a big TV. Started looking into projectors, looked at the optoma and a few other brands, was getting a few good reviews and some so so reviews. My friend who had come over mentioned that he had the Epson 3010 and he likes it.
So decided to go to the local best buy and they had the later model 3020, read some reviews and pulled the trigger.
Got it home, fired it up and Wow....
Without any calibration we had 130" of awesomeness in our bedroom.
Got a 120" fixed screen and now project it up there, we are both blown away by this. At a fraction of the cost we have a home theater in our bedroom. Way better than any TV at the size/cost.
After getting comfortable with this, I swapped this for the 3020e wireless model and love it. The IRIS noise was a little distraction, turned it off and enjoy it now.
Also love that it has the built in speakers which are not bad at all. Considering getting a nice sound bar to complement this now.
Wife happy/ Me happy.....

By E. Byers
I had the Epson 3010e projector as well, so this review will be mostly about the upgrades that come with this years newer model.
So here is the breakdown
- 1080p 3LCD - Crisp, beautiful. Until LED projectors come down in price, this is your best value.
- Super Bright projector (2300 lumens, the 3010's had 2200). This is incredibly bright for the money range this projector is in.
- 3D. Requires active glasses, big upgrade from the 3010 include, better picture quality during 3d movies, auto iris is now available in 3d, and the 3D glasses are now included in the WiHD version (2 pair), and are now RF instead of IR. The glasses are also much improved, they look better, are more comfortable, and can be charged via micro usb (apparently 3 minutes will be enough to make it through an entire movie, which is great if you forget to charge them). Unfortunately this means the old IR glasses are no longer compatible, but there are good cheap RF glasses for $20 or so.
- Lag. The previous version had enough lag that it made playing FPS online, and playing other fast paced games kind of unbearable. The new 3020 has less lag (about ~50ms) so it's much less noticeable, so it goes from being, supper annoying to play with to can deal with it. Although for gaming, probably still not the best projector.
- Wireless HDMI (WiHD). The sender unit has been upgraded, it now takes 5 HDMI inputs, has an HDMI output and an optical port. The remote also gets a section to directly control the HDMI sender. This is great since you can now use it as a hub and plug multiple things in with it, and still output to something else if required. Huge upgrade over the 3010 where it basically had one HDMI input.
- Appearance. Outside of missing the network jack for extending the IR signal for 3d (which isn't needed with RF now), this projector is identical.
This is still an insanely great projector for home theater. It's bright, it does 3D, it's 1080p, picture looks amazing (and can be calibrated to be very close to color correct). It is a home theater projector, so it's quite large, so no portable slideshows, and it also isn't great at games. But for what it's intended for, it excels.

By S. Power
This projector is lacking when compared to others on the market, but when you take its price into consideration, it is a great value. This is true whether you compare it to high-performance video projectors or to larger screen displays that are big enough to be a feasible replacement (70", 84", or larger). This projector is simple to use, looks great, does 3D very well, and costs considerably less than comparable displays or other projectors that perform as well.
3D. I didn't expect to use the 3D much or at all, but we were so impressed when we tried it out, that we have already used it several times. It works much better with actual 3D content, then when you try to convert from 2D, but in both use cases it was fun and impressive. The glasses are pretty comfortable, and were much simpler to set up than many of the other types out there.
Brightness. This projector is rated at 2300 lumens, but seems brighter than that. It is bright enough to look great projected on a white wall with about 6.5 feet from corner to corner, diagonal, as long as the room is dark. Despite being bright enough in a dark room, it does get washed out once you introduce any light to the room. This isn't an issue for us, since we only use the projector for dedicated viewing. It might be an issue if you're planning on using it in a venue that has to have ambient light.
Clarity. This projector really is 1080P. After years of viewing HD content on LCD screens, I my expectations were low in this area. I expected a lot more pixilation with this (or any) projector than you have on a display. That simply isn't the case. Once focused, this projector is as crisp and clear as any other HD video.
Sound. I only used the speakers in this projector for a few minutes, just to test them out. They sound fine, but we quickly switched over to our Dolby 5.1 surround sound system.
Runs cool and quiet. From my past experiences with projectors, I was worried that this was going to seem like a blow dryer running in the middle of our TV room. It isn't. It is relatively cool and quiet.
Wireless HDMI. This review is based on this exact same projector, but without the wireless HDMI. The model number of that one is V11H501020, and it is $500 cheaper than this one. Wireless HDMI is a $500 option, which is comparable to how much wireless HDMI currently costs. For us, the convenience of wireless HDMI was not worth the cost, since our projector is ceiling mounted and the HDMI cable only cost about $40, but there are plenty of use cases where the 32 feet of wireless range would be very useful.
I highly recommend this projector or the cheaper (non-wireless version), but only if you are going to use it in a room where there isn't much ambient light.
